Find us on IG for more photos, note: we require a signed rental contract and ID see details below. Is there a huge difference between the 2 areas? Should this be the deciding vote, or should we just choose based on amenities of the airbnb's? Sorry for the long-winded message.Enjoy our woodsy retreat! Recently renovated 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our main sights/excursions that we want to do include renting bikes and riding the "east shore trail", seeing Emerald Bay and Sand Harbor, a day of floating down the Truckee river, driving all around the lake one day, some light hiking/walking on easy trails and visiting a few beaches and dog-friendly beaches and the Heavenly Gondola.īoth airbnb's have pros and cons (one is refundable just in case of emergency, another one has 2 bathrooms vs one bathroom, etc). We prefer to stay away from traffic, although I understand that some will not be avoidable. We will cook most meals inside, except maybe lunch out sometimes and a couple of dinners, and we enjoy getting ice cream, pastries, coffee, etc.

We do not like casinos/gambling, and don't need fancy restaurants. We are traveling with 2 dogs and will be staying one week in the end of June (June 25-July 2nd). We're a family of 4 with 2 boys, ages 10 and 13. There are slim pickings this late and needing dog-friendly. I'm in a bit of a conundrum since I am choosing between 2 airbnb's that have pros and cons: one is North near King's Beach and one is in the South near Pioneer Trail. I've read most of them, I've looked up articles comparing both sides, etc. I know there are many posts about which side to choose: north vs south.
